Dune Dog Adventures

Where every dog’s day is an Adventure rain or shine

Dune Dog Adventures is a bespoke outdoor dog day care based on the Oregon Coast. We take dogs beyond four walls-exploring beaches, dunes and forest trails for the ultimate dog experience.

Meet the Pack

  • Trail Guide/Co-Founder

Liam’s work is quiet, intentional, and deeply felt. From a young age, he sought out every opportunity to connect with animals volunteering at shelters, farms, and sanctuaries up and down the Oregon Coast. His intuitive way with dogs is more than skill it’s a gift. With a gentle presence and a grounded spirit, Liam brings balance to the pack and reminds us that every creature deserves to be seen, heard, and honored.

  • Tyran brings steady leadership, sharp instincts, and a deep respect for the outdoors to Dune Dog Adventures. As a co‑owner, he helps guide the operational heartbeat of the business — from route planning and safety checks to hands‑on support during dog adventures along the Southern Oregon Coast.

With a background in disciplined service and a lifelong connection to nature, Tyran approaches every outing with calm confidence. Dogs respond to his grounded presence, and clients appreciate his reliability, professionalism, and genuine care.

Whether he’s prepping gear, scouting new trails, or supporting the rescue and training vision behind the scenes, Tyran is committed to building a safe, joyful, and adventure‑driven experience for every dog we serve.

  • A Navy veteran, peer support specialist, and lifelong advocate, Yuri is the soul of Dune Dog Adventures. Her journey has been shaped by service, caregiving, and a fierce commitment to community healing. After her Twins began navigating Their own mental health challenges, Yuri discovered a painful truth: Oregon lacks accessible, affordable programs for young people on military/low-income options for insurance. Over a beach walk with Tyran and her dog Lucy, she shared her dream about an animal rescue/nonprofit sanctuary offering free farm-based therapies for marginalized communities. That conversation sparked movement to that dream and Dune Dog Adventures was born.

Who We Are

Dune Dog Adventures was created from a lifetime of curiosity, resilience, and service. Founded by Yuri a Navy veteran, artist, and only parent to twins, the business reflects her belief that healing, adventure, and companionship can transform a life. Growing up with a Vietnam Navy veteran father and a mother determined to break generational cycles, Yuri learned early what strength, compassion, and grit look like. Her path has never been traditional, but it has always been guided by community, creativity, and a deep commitment to helping others.

For more than twenty years, Yuri has supported fellow veterans through peer mentorship, women‑veteran groups, grief and loss circles, and community mental‑health outreach. Even after stepping away from formal roles, she continues to help veterans who find their way to her, offering guidance grounded in lived experience and heart. Her own healing was shaped by the companionship of her family dog, Zero, who became her daughter’s support animal and a reminder of how powerful the right dog can be at the right moment.

Yuri is joined by her dog‑training partner, Tyran, whose adventure dog experience and fear‑free, force‑free approach forms the foundation of their training philosophy. His calm, intuitive methods help dogs build confidence, trust, and emotional stability, essential qualities for the support animals they aim to develop for women veterans. Their team also includes Liam, their dedicated dog walker whose reliability, kindness, and natural connection with dogs help keep the adventure/daycare side of the business running smoothly. Together, they create a safe, joyful, and structured environment for every dog in their care.

Dune Dog Adventures operates along the Southern Oregon Coast, offering adventure‑based dog daycare, enrichment walks, and training. But the heart of the business is bigger: using revenue, community support, and donations to rescue dogs, train them with compassion, and gift them to women veterans who need support animals but face barriers to access.

To sustain this mission, the team offers two ways for the community to get involved:

•             Patreon — where supporters receive behind‑the‑scenes updates, rescue stories, training progress, and a closer look at the work that goes into preparing each dog.

•             GoFundMe — dedicated to covering medical care, supplies, and training costs for each rescue dog entering the program.

Every walk, every piece of merch purchased, every donation, every shared post helps build a sanctuary of safety, connection, and healing; one dog, one woman veteran at a time. Because dogs heal people and nature heals us all.
