  • Trail Guide/Co-Founder

    Liam’s work is quiet, intentional, and deeply felt. From a young age, he sought out every opportunity to connect with animals volunteering at shelters, farms, and sanctuaries up and down the Oregon Coast. His intuitive way with dogs is more than skill it’s a gift. With a gentle presence and a grounded spirit, Liam brings balance to the pack and reminds us that every creature deserves to be seen, heard, and honored.

  • Yuri is a Navy veteran and peer support specialist with extensive experience working alongside women veterans navigating trauma, transition, and recovery. Her background in trauma‑informed support and dog care shaped the foundation of Dune Dog Adventures, a business built on structure, movement, and compassionate handling. She leads the company with a focus on force‑free training, outdoor enrichment, and creating emotionally safe experiences for dogs and their handlers. Through this work, Yuri advances a broader mission to prepare rescued dogs for meaningful roles supporting women veterans in need of stability and connection.

Who We Are

Dune Dog Adventures is an adventure‑based dog care and training business built on lived experience, years of working hands‑on with dogs, supporting women veterans, and understanding how structure, movement, and nature shape behavior and healing. We operate along the Southern Oregon Coast, offering adventure‑daycare, enrichment walks, and trauma‑informed training designed to help dogs build confidence, stability, and emotional regulation.

Our business model is rooted in the belief that dogs thrive when they are given purposeful activity, clear communication, and a safe environment to decompress. Every service we offer, from structured adventure days to individualized training plans. are designed to support dogs in becoming well‑balanced companions who can navigate both outdoor environments and home life with ease.

We specialize in force‑free, fear‑free, trauma‑informed methods that prioritize trust and emotional safety. This approach comes from real‑world experience working with dogs who have faced instability, as well as years of supporting women veterans living with PTSD, anxiety, and major life transitions. We understand the behaviors, triggers, and needs on both sides of the leash and we build our training around that understanding.

Our team includes dedicated handlers and walkers who thrive in outdoor, hands‑on, animal‑centered work. We create roles that offer structure, purpose, and a supportive environment, especially for individuals who benefit from nontraditional work settings. This commitment to meaningful employment is part of the foundation of how we operate.

Our Larger Purpose

While Dune Dog Adventures functions as a professional dog‑care and training business, the heart of our work extends beyond daily services. Revenue, community support, and donations help us rescue dogs, rehabilitate them with compassion, and prepare them for placement as support animals for women veterans who need them most.

To sustain this mission, we offer two community‑supported pathways:

• Patreon where supporters receive behind‑the‑scenes updates, training progress, and rescue stories.

• GoFundMe dedicated to covering medical care, supplies, and training for each rescue dog entering the program.

Every walk booked, every donation made, every piece of merch purchased helps build a sanctuary of safety, connection, and healing, one dog, one woman veteran at a time.
